I was playing around with Microsoft’s new web search and was amused at this result. Of course my entry was nonsensical, but trying out some legit queries on the search engine side left me mildly impressed. The search results are returning more what I expect. I’m not completely sold on the AJAX interface, but it is novel and works on Firefox. The birds eye view of Local Live blows away Google Maps, at least for Albuquerque. Looks like we’ve got some competition going!

I disagree. Neither Google nor MS local live can find me on a map. Which is fine, but it just makes both of them inferior to ME, since I know where I am all the time.
I've understood that Live search is supposed to do some impressive things, however functionally it takes me far more time to find an answer to a coding problem than it does in Google -- unless its something directly related to Visual Studio or other Microsoft products. I think the difference is that Live probably uses secret rankings for sites that pay for it, most of my top hits were selling something.
